Does the Library charge for late materials

Overdue/Late materials  :

Return books and magazines by the due date to avoid overdue fees. They may be returned inside the building or in the outside book drops. Items returned in the outside book drops after 2:00 p.m. will be checked in the following day.

 

Return DVDs, Videos, CDs and Cassette Tapes inside the building at the circulation desk or use the AV return located in the wall by the Poplar Street entrance. All AV materials returned after closing will be checked in the following day. Please do not return CDs, DVDs, Videos, Compact Disks or Cassette Tapes in either of the outside drops.

 

The overdue fee for children's materials is $ .10 per day per item.
The overdue fee for adult materials is $ .25 per per day per item. 

The overdue fee for DVDs and Videos is $1.00 per item, per day, as soon as it is overdue .

Damaged items are reviewed and accessed charges according to the amount of damage and ability to circulate the item.

Library users with material overdue 60 days passed the due date will be charged to replace the material as well as an additional $5.00 fee.

Replacement WALNET Library cards are $1.00 each.

The Library can only accept payment by cash or check
