Join us at the library on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. We meet at noon for one hour and drop-ins are welcome. Check the calendar for the current title.
Simplify your book club meetings with our Book-Club-In-A-Bag sets. Each bag contains 7 copies of a book, discussion questions, and the author's biography.
Hands-on workshops, with coaching by experienced professionals, using state-of-the-art teaching technology: that's what CrewSpace is all about. We make most types of media creation accessible, at all levels of expertise.
Funded primarily by a grant from the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, CrewSpace aspires to the same ideals that the foundation itself expresses: we, too, want to demonstrate creativity, embrace innovation and inspire people to do their best.
Since our primary goal is ease of access for all kinds of learners, you'll see a lot of Apple-based technology at CrewSpace. Our experience is that more projects will be able to come to a successful completion, with more ease, on the Mac OS (and iOS). We believe that spending more time working on the underlying principles of excellent design, filmmaking, writing, photography, audio and music-making—and less time struggling with technology—is a very good thing for all concerned.
We subscribe to OverDrive, also known as the Washington Anytime Library, so that you can download audiobooks and e-books to your Kindle, Nook, iPad, smartphone, or other compatible device. (If you don't own a Kindle or Nook, you may borrow one from us!)
The Library has both quiet rooms and meeting rooms. Quiet Rooms are for individual or small group use.
Meeting rooms are for programs which are open to the public and held during regular Library hours. These meetings cannot be fee-based or involve a private enterprise or sales.
Reservations must be made by a Walla Walla Public Library cardholder who will be present at the meeting. Please callfor more details.
Receive monthly e-mail updates on new releases and suggested titles in your favorite genres.
We'll be glad to suggest a book for you - just ask us! We can also show you NoveList, a database for author read-alikes, the next in a series, and much more.
